Vacation, sewing projects, new house & the ZOO

Yes I know it's a lot to blog about, but I'm lazy lately so I feel like I have to fit it all in while I have the motivation to do it :)

Travis and I just got back from our weekend away in St. George. It was awesome. We went to movies, ate delicious thai food, saw a play at Tuacahn, cleaned up my parents' flooded basement (picture below), relaxed by the pool and, of course, spent way too much money on home decor (I have a problem). ha.

We woke up our first morning there and found this. I was freaking out a little. We caught it before it could cause too much damage but we still had to have GINORMOUS loud fans all weekend long airing out the carpet where the water had seeped into the house. SWEET.

TARZAN. woot woot.

What's a day at the pool without hot tamales?

Yes those are my fat legs. This is the pool that high school musical 2 was filmed at. I made Travis go see Charlie St. Cloud after(who doesn't like to look at Zac Efron for 2 hrs? Although the movie was pretty dumb. sniffle).

Dorks.

In other news, I am sewing new pillows for my couches. The one below is my pride and joy. I love it so much that I have a hard time with Bryant even touching it (yes I'm one of THOSE moms ha).

Thanks mom for all of your help!!!! You are a sewing genius.

AND GUESS WHAT????!!!! OUR HOUSE IS FINALLY BEING BUILT. CAN I GET A HALLELUJAH?

THE ZOO
Did you know that 4:30 is the perfect time to go to the zoo? There was NO ONE there when I took Bry the other day. We seriously sat and stared at the gorillas and Giraffes (that were like 3 ft away) for 15 minutes. It was awesome.

Ps. My Son is SO ADORABLE
(Proof in the picture below)

Ok that's what's going on with us :)
I'm going to go eat some sherbet. mmmmm....................
