Grainstock.....

Last weekend Travis and I went up to soda springs because my uncles were putting on an annual event where their old band comes together to rock out for a night (called "grainstock"). It was actually pretty fun to have live music and an awesome dutch oven dinner with family all around, but then came the heat. My family rented a cute little cabin-house thingy, which was very quaint at first, until I realized that there was no central air, only fans and cheap window air-conditioners. I then proceeded to find out that pretty much every house we went into in Idaho didn't have air conditioning either. I was astounded. How do people live without their house temp. set to 68? haha. It probably didn't help that I kept getting these KILLER migraines and couldn't do anything about it. Anyway, I feel bad for people with hot houses.........oh and that live in Idaho with nothing to do.
Nat and me chillin outside listening to music....

The band rockin' out.....

Ugly faces.. sweet.

OH and FUNNY STORY. I hit a low point on the drive home from Idaho when I asked Travis to pull over in Bountiful so I could lose it from both ends in the Wendy's bathroom. Awesome. I then cried like a baby and told Travis that I didn't want to get back in the car and drive home to Provo cause I didn't ever want to throw up again. Poor Travis. ha. He had to convince me that I would be ok. I think he feels pretty helpless sometimes. Poor Travis and his crazy wife. :)

Ps. If anyone has any advice on getting rid of the migraines let me know. I have my SECOND (wahoo) obgyn appointment tomorrow so I will ask then, but they are the most painful things I have ever experienced. ouchies.

holy cow, bec. i actually had a migraine at the beginning of my pregnancy, and it was THE worst because you can't take the excedrin....here's my advice: if caffeine usually helps your migraines, having a can of diet coke may do the trick to take off the edge. everything i've read (and i've read a lot of stuff) has said that you can have as much caffeine as is in something like 5 cups of coffee...crazy. so i think one can of DC isn't going to affect much. just my opinion. other than that, my favorite home remedy for a migraine is a warm washcloth over my eyes- i actually warm them up in the microwave over and over again (my mom taught me this trick). this is sooo soothing with a migraine. hopefully these things help! i'm sorry you've been so sick! hang in there, it's all worth it in the end! :)

So I always thought that I'd rather be able to play the piano than sing, but Grainstock has changed my mind on that matter- :)

I love that I'm not the only one!!! I'm just over 4 months now and Just Sunday night, Trev had to pull over so I could puke everything I ate that day. It was fabulous. Do you have the runs now too? That gets worse as the nausea gets better. Oh man. :) My wanting 5 kids has now dwindled to 3.

just get through it.

As for the headaches - this sounds like a stupid solution but really the only thing that helped me was drinking more water and switching it off with Gatorade. Also...be sure your house is well ventilated. I read that somewhere. Heat/dryness doesn't help.

Hey Becca. I had really bad migraines where I would just stay in bed at night and Tim had to go run and buy dinner while I sat in the dark. Ok, maybe sometimes I acted so I didn't have to make dinner. But in reality, I had the worst ones. If I took excedrin it hurt my stomach. I learned to stay cool and I drank caffeine soda. It helped me a lot. I talked about it with the dr.
