boys boys boys.....

I'm glad Travis was the one to post the baby boy news first because I almost wet myself from laughing so hard. ;) I thought I would relate my experience with the ultrasound....

Ok so having been a nursing student and seeing about a 100 ultrasounds throughout school I thought I was ready to lay on a really uncomfortable table and have gross jelly squirted on my belly, but I have to say it was a strange experience. Throughout the whole thing I was really nervous that something was going to be wrong and it didn't help that the tech didn't say a word until I would ask her a question or scream out body parts and she would patiently say "yes, good job." haha. It was a shock when I found out we were having a boy. Anyone who has been around me the past few months knows that I have been obsessed with girl stuff (girl names, dresses, bows, the color pink....) but I am totally excited that I am having a boy first. Although baby boy clothes leave something to be desired. I have been to like 4 stores already and the boy clothes all have lame giant animals on them. Aren't there stores out there that make "miniature man clothes?" For the love!! However, the lack of boy "stuff" hasn't stopped me from ordering a pimp crib and picking out the crib set I want. Oh yeah. Anyway I'm rambling.

Oh one more thing. I am so thankful for nordstrom this year. They have cute soft stretchy dresses that are pretty dang affordable in fun colors. Hallelujah!

Here are some ultrasound pics........

Anyone have any cool names for a boy???
We like:
Bryant
Brooks
Bentley ( Kelly your last name inspired this :)
Parker
Henderson
Bennett
Brody
Yeah we like "B" Names. Alliteration is cool ;)
I can't think of the rest (I know there was more), but I have no idea what I like the best. Tell me what you think.

I had the biggest crush on a guy named Brody once at BYU-ID, he was really hot! I also like Bennett and I dated a Bryant!

I think a boy is the best way to start. My hubby and are both number 2 in the family and we have older sisters so we were pleased to start with a boy. Oldest girls tend to be a bossy. Also, boys seem to deal better with the arrival of a second child. So far all the Barnes and Birds have started with boys (Krista, Sarah and I each have a boy as our oldest child).

Ok. Confession. Brody is our second son. No lie. But, I LOVE the name (obviously).

I also LOVE Bentley and Brooks. Different, but not so different people will assume they are utah mormons. U know what i mean.

I hate boy clothes too. NO DINOSAURS TRUCKS TRAINS ETC. I've ordered all Ralph Lauren stuff thus far, but I'm thinking Trey will just be running around in diapers.

PS WHERE did u find cute bedding?

Wow! Congrats! I must say that Travis's post was hysterical! He did a great job of announcing it!

As far as B names are... (I am obviously biased myself) One of my brother's names is Brandon (lame in my opinion) but my other brother's name is Bannon. He is 16 and the raddest boy I know. It is Irish and everyone loves it! His middle name is Tinsley which also rocks.

Okay, I know this is so dumb, but I have to throw this out there, so you don't think we are copying you with whatever name you pick. Ry and I love the names Bentley and Parker, hence my maiden name. I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan wanted to name of his kids Bryant either, b/c he is a DIE HARD KOBE BRYANT fan.

Carter and Jameson? Maybe middle names...I'm just throwing that out there

Congrats on the Boy!!! That is awesome!!! You guys are going to totally love being parents. I like the name Bryant cause it's a little different but not too unusual.

I think it would be way cooler to name him Brentley instead of Bentley.

I was going to tell you... Marshalls, TJ Max and Nordstrom Rack are good places to find the cutest Polo stuff and older brands like Quicksilver for little baby boys. I just bought a Polo shirt at the Rack for $13 that I saw that weekend for $30 at Nordstrom.
